Citadel Care (New Boiler Installation)

One of our clients, a seniors’ continuing care centre, only had a single boiler heating the domestic hot water for the entire facility. We confirmed that the boiler and holding tanks were sized correctly for the facility, but there was no redundancy (backup) if the boiler went down. EDL Building Solutions created a new design to incorporate a second, identical boiler to be installed as a backup system. The new piping was pre-fabricated, which allowed us to take down the building’s heating system without disruption to the residents. We then installed a boiler control system (designed in-house using our state of the art control and automation system) to help the client alternate boiler operation to give the boilers even use, as well as provide remote alarms so the customer can be informed immediately if there is a problem with their system.
