HR Coordinator/ Payroll Administrator

Role Overview

This position plays a key role in the continued success of the business. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible to complete the overall maintenance of the Human Resources Department along with completing the company’s payroll duties. This position is located in Edmonton, AB, based on a 40 hour work week (7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday).

Duties and Responsibilities

Human Resources Responsibilities

• Maintain HR systems, processes, and policies to accomplish Environmental Dynamics Ltd.’s mandate and goals.

• Help maintain the corporate employee retention plan.

• Ensure all HR policies and procedures being performed by Environmental Dynamics Ltd. are comparable with the industry standard.

• Help department management ensure they have the correct and appropriate qualified staffing to execute quality projects within budget.

• Assist in candidate interviews with providing insight and feedback to help ensure the proper candidate is selected.

• Facilitate and administer employee orientations and terminations and related paperwork

• Track and update all employees’ related information (vacation, belongings, IT devices and performance management)

• Ensure personnel performance management by monitoring, reviewing, and addressing personnel under performance and maintaining appropriate records in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Continually monitor the performance review process.

• Generate and submit biweekly GPS time charged versus time worked reports

• Resolve conflicts and negotiating with others by handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts with internal staff.

• Plan and organize internal and external company functions, team building events, and parties.

• Maintain sufficient knowledge of Alberta Labour Standards and Employment Codes.

Payroll Administrator Responsibilities

• Complete bi-weekly payroll for the Company (posting, expenses and timesheet verification)

• Generate and submit biweekly GPS time charged versus time worked reports

• Continually hold and maintain the highest level of organizational skills.

• Demonstrate ongoing leadership and professional ethical standards within the workplace.

• Play a significant role by demonstrating long-term support and respect to all current, new, and proposed processes, procedures, policies, and rules.

• Deliver on deadlines and targets, and should deadlines or targets not be achievable in the given time frame, immediately advise and communicate status with all stakeholders.

• Demonstrate ongoing professional ethical standards within the workplace.

• Perform any other administrative duties as required by managers.
